Timber Frame & Kit Manufacture

For many years Nailfast has been the leader in supplying pneumatic tools and collated fasteners to Timber Frame Kit manufacturers in the North East of Scotland. The following is a guide to the products we supply to kit manufacturers, erectors and finishing joiners.

Studs and rails are fixed using Haubold RN90 Strip Nailers and 3.15/90mm galvanised round head nails either with smooth, ring or with screw shanks.

Secure plywood sheathing by means of Hitachi VH650 Coil Nailers and 2.8/50mm galvanised coil nails.

Fastening Polypropylene strapping - to help locate studs for fixing Cullen FT50 Stainless Steel Wall Ties - over the breather membrane is done with a Senco SFT10C Tacker and 71/10mm stainless steel staples.

Should specifications require heavier nails, Nailfast Ltd. has a range capable of meeting almost any requirement.

In addition to the tools used in kit production, with fasteners that comply to NHBC Standard, Nailfast Ltd. also stock Cullen Building Products, Tyvek, Corovin & Daltex Wall Breather Membranes, Polypropylene Strapping, Adhesive Tapes, Stretch Wrap Films, PVA glue and wood filler.

Kit Erection

On-site panel erection, dwanging and roof sarking are all quickly and easily accomplished by means of the Paslode Impulse IM350/90 Nailer with its range of nails from 2.8/51mm to 31/90mm.

As well as use in the factory to make the kit, the versatile Haubold RN90 Strip Nailer may be used with petrol driven compressor to erect the kit and fit internal partitions. With a 3.3/64mm ring shank nail, it can fix chipboard flooring.

For the nailing of restraint straps, truss clips, joist hangers etc, there is the choice of the Senco SN60/MC Strip Nailer, or the Paslode 5250/65 Positive Placement Nailer using nails approved by Cullen Building Products.

Nailfast also stock many popular sizes of loose nails and brads to complement our range of collated fastenings.

Internals & Finishings

For the many fixing jobs inside the house Nailfast have a tool and fastener combination to suit every need.

Dry lining can be fastened using the Senco Duraspin 110 volt DS200AC, with industry standard collated screws of 3.9mm course thread black phosphated screws in 35mm, 40mm, 45mm and 55mm lengths.

Alongside the versatility of Duraspin collated screwdrivers, we offer Muro coil and strip screwdrivers, such as the UltraDriver CH7390 , for efficient fixing of chipboard flooring by their ease of use.

Skirtings and door facings can be nailed with the Paslode Impulse 250II cordless tool or any tool from a wide range of pneumatic tools including the reliable and hard wearing Haubold SKN64A 16gauge Finish Nailer.
